I do not know if I have written down anything that will hold the interest of a capable fishermen but i hope it helps the people that need a new pole or reel? I have slowly posted information on these pages that I find helpful. I hope some people find some of it worth while. |

Aug 16-17 08 Well, this weekends fishing was a mix bag of keeper bass & blue blitzes but the big winners where the eel guys that have put the time in. The rock of team Quinlan used his eels to target BIG BIG bass this weekend & did very well! Keep in mind eel people that Mr. Quinlan has been walk up & down the beach all summer & knows what he is doing & where he is going. Even if it looks easy to fish with eels from the shore its not; from a boat? Ya! & no boat guy got these this weekend! The other big achievement was getting them off the beach! He got these as far from the parking lot as it gets & had to drag them back himself! & they had to be 35p each! (lucky he goes to the gym all the time!) High tides at the end of the week & cleaner water should help the non-bait / cheeters fishermen this week. Left & right of spot j should be the best.the seals think so!

Aug 15 08 A lot of hard work by me and J fly guy to get fish today but I can see way all of team Quinlan and the plum island cast off('s) have been fish the end of the beach! Also tons of bait is still holding up on the beach but the water has just cleared so the fish have to find them now! (35inch) was the only picture as it was foggy once more!
Aug 9-11-08 Well Friday 8th was good/great! but with the dropping tides & fast moving fronts the fishing at Crane's has come to a screeching halt! To help things the water has turned a nice brown color from the river run off & in some places that lovely brown foam makes walking in the water just more of a treat! Almost ever year the lack of water pushing up onto the beach slows the fishing but things can only get better. Lots of bait on the beach & awesome places for them to hide! Just need some more salt water & less fresh! HIGH TIDE is looking to be the best tide right now. (Big Pic) |

Luck 8’s is right!. Well from the reports off north coast angler & from someone that fishes a lot you could tell something was moving north. Fished the end of the beach a spot G & E with only small fish 22-26. Then to spots C, I and J & called it after 6 fish. After a Blue start to the morning I went home happy. Quick run up to a beach with no fish! I fished from 4:30-7am and called it a day. It was rainy then the sun came out and then it rained? The water was wicked, wicked warm! It was the warmest I have felt and was warmer than the air temp. However, no fish on the front but that does not mean that there are not fish at the end? One of the very good fishermen got some nice fish down there cheating :) I will rest for a few days because my guess is this will be a very good weekend? Small amounts of bait have found some of the cuts in the beach and I think more will come. (BIG) |
